Flemingstone or Flimstone, a village and a parish in 'Glamorgan, near the coast, 3 1/4 miles SSE of Cowbridge. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Cowbridge. Acreage, 701; population, 57. The .manor belonged to John Fleming, one of the twelve knights who came in with Robert Fitz Hamon in the time of William Rufus. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff; gross value, £222 with residence. Patron, the Earl of Dunraven. The church is .ancient, and was restored in 1858.
