Llansantffread, a village and a parish in Cardiganshire. The village stands on the coast, 4 1/4 miles NE by N of Aberayron, and 11 1/2 SSW of Aberystwyth. The parish contains also the hamlet of Llanon. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Llanon (R.S.O.) Acreage, 4707, with 184 of adjacent foreshore ; population of the civil parish, 1115 ; of the ecclesiastical, 1190. Some traces exist of what is thought to have been a monastic establishment.
