Dihewid or Dihewyd, a parish in Cardiganshire, on the rivulet Mydyr, 5 miles SSE of Aberayron, and 9 NW of Lampeter station on the Manchester and Milford railway. It has a post office under Talsarn (R.S.O.); money order office, Talsarn ; telegraph office, Aberayron. Acreage, 3867; population of the civil parish, 451; of the ecclesiastical, 624. There is an ancient camp. The living is a vicarage, with Llanerch-Aeron annexed, in the diocese of St David's; gross value, c£280. The church is dedicated to St Vitalis.
