Cellan or Kellan, a parish in Cardiganshire, on the river Teifi, 3 miles NE of Lampeter. It has a post office under Lampeter (R.S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Lampeter. Acreage, 3450; population, 457. In the neighbourhood are traces of Sam Helen, an ancient road. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St David's; gross value, £87 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of St David's. The church has an ancient font. The Rev. M. Williams, the antiquary, was a native.
