Llanffinan, Anglesey

Description
Llanffinan, a parish in Anglesey, 2 miles ESE of Llangefni. Post town, Llangefni (R.S.O.) Acreage, 1281; population, 119. Plas Penmynydd is a house of the 14th century, and was the birthplace of Owen Tudor, who married Catherine of France, the widow of Henry V. Limestone is worked. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Llanfihangel Esceifiog, in the diocese of Bangor. The church is dedicated to St Finnan, stands in a very picturesque situation, and is modern.
