Description
Foolstone, a village and a township in Kirkburton parish, W. R. Yorkshire, 1 mile from Stocksmoor station on the L. & Y.R., and 6 miles from Huddersfield. Post town and money order and telegraph office, New Mill under Huddersfield. Acreage, 2186; population, 1873. Coal is worked. The township includes part of the village of New Mill, and is governed by a local board.
