Description
Erringden, a moorland township in Halifax parish, W. R. Yorkshire, 1 mile from Hebden Bridge station on the L. & Y.R., 7 miles NNW of Halifax. It includes part of the villages of Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd. Post town, Manchester ; money order and telegraph office, Hebden Bridge. Acreage, 3012; population, 1886. Cotton spinning is largely carried on.
