Description
Eggbrough, a township in Kellington parish, W. R. Yorkshire, on the Goole Canal, 5 miles W by N of Snaith, and 2 from Whitley Bridge station on the L. & Y.R. It contains the hamlets of High Eggbrough, Low Eggbrough, and Hut Green. Acreage, 2010; population, 325. There is a Wesleyan chapel. The inhabitants are employed in large corn and bone mills.
