Brawby, a village and a township in Salton parish, N. R. Yorkshire, on the river Eye, 7 miles NNW of New Malton, and 2 1/2 from Barton-le-Street station on the N.E.R. There is a post office under Pickering, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage of township, 1013 ; population, 148. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
