Adlingfleet, West Riding

Description
Adlingfleet, a village, a township, and a parish in the W. R. Yorkshire. The township lies near the confluence of the Ouse and the Trent, 8 miles E of Goole railway station, and has a post office under Goole. Acreage, 1848; population of the civil parish, 211; of the ecclesiastical, 373. The parish includes also the townships of Fockerby and Haldenby. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York; net value, £322 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church was built about 1260. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels.
