Woodborough, a parish, with a village, in Wiltshire, on the Kennet and Avon Canal, with a station on the G.W.R., 79 miles from London. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Pewsey. Acreage, 1023; population, 424. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. An extensive wharf for coal, timber, slate, and artificial manure stands near the village. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; net value, £280. The church is in the Early English style, and has been restored. There are a Wesleyan chapel and a workmen's hall.
