Description
Westport St Mary, a parish in Wiltshire, contiguous to Malmesbury town, within Malmesbury borough, and half a mile from Malmesbury station on the G.W.R. Post town, Malmesbury. Acreage, 1961; population of the civil parish, 1669; of the ecclesiastical, 1652. The living is a vicarage, annexed to Malmesbury, in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. The church is a building of stone in mixed styles of architecture. There is a large Congregational chapel.
