Description
Durrington, a parish in Sussex, on the southern slope of the South Downs, 1 1/4 mile N from West Worthing station, and l 1/4 NE from Goring station on the L.B. & S.C.R. Post town, Worthing; money order office, Goring or West Tarring. Acreage, 891; population, 175. The church, dating from the 12th century, has been in ruins since 1752. The ruins are picturesque, but of no special architectural interest. A small iron church, adjoining the ruins, was erected in 1890.
