Description
Willey, a village and a parish in Warwickshire. The village stands on Watling Street and the borders of Leicestershire, 2 1/2 miles S of Ullesthorpe station on the M.R., and 3 W of Lutterworth. It has a post office under Lutterworth; money order office, Ullesthorpe; telegraph office, Ullesthorpe railway station. The parish comprises 815 acres; population, 133. The manor belongs to the Earl of Denbigh. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Worcester; net value, £355 with residence. The church is ancient, but was almost entirely rebuilt in 1884.
