Ashington, with North Wachington, a parish in Sussex, 6 miles NW of Steyning station on the L.B. & S.C.R. It contains the chapelry of Buncton, and has a post and money order office under Pulborough; telegraph office is at Storrington. Acreage, 1012; population of the civil parish, 219; of the ecclesiastical district, 502. The living is a rectory, united with the curacy of Buncton, in the diocese of Chichester; gross value, £275. The church is good, and was almost entirely restored in 1872.
