Description
Worlingworth, a parish, with a village, in Suffolk, 5 miles NW by N of Framlingham station on the G.E.R. It has a post and money order office under Framlingham; telegraph office, Stradbroke. Acreage, 2473; population of the civil parish, 574; of the ecclesiastical, with Southolt, 726. There is a parish council consisting of nine members. The manor belongs to Lord Henniker. The living is a rectory, united with Sontholt, in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £750 with residence. Patron, Lord Henniker. The church contains a beautiful Gothic font cover which once adorned the abbey church of Bury St Edmunds.
