Wickhambrook, a village and a parish in Suffolk. The village stands 6 miles N of Clare station on the G.E.R., and has a post, money order, and telegraph office. The parish comprises 4337 acres; population, 1218. Wickhambrook House, Badmondisfield Hall, and Aldersfield Hall are chief residences. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ely; net value, £250 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is an ancient edifice of flint in the Early English style, and has been restored. There are Congregational and Primitive Methodist chapels and almshouses.
