Theberton, a parish, with a village, in Suffolk, 2 1/2 miles N by W of Leiston station on the G.E.R., and 4 ENE of Saxmundham. It has a post office under Saxmundham; money order and telegraph office, Leiston. Acreage, 2001; population, 541. Theberton House and Theberton Hall are chief residences. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £220 with residence. Patron, the Crown. The church is partly Norman and mainly Later English. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
