Tannington, a village and a parish in Suffolk, 5 miles NW from Framlingham station on the G.E.R. Post town, Wickham Market; money order and telegraph office, Framlingham. Acreage, 1638; population of the civil parish, 167; of the ecclesiastical with Brundish, 544. The manor belongs to the Earl of Stradbroke. The living is a vicarage, united with Brundish, in the diocese of Norwich; joint net value, £150 with residence, in the gift of the Bishop of Norwich. The church is a fine building of flint.
