Shottisham, a parish, with a village, in Suffolk, on the river Deben, 4 1/2 miles SE of Woodbridge station on the G.E.R. It has a post office under Woodbridge; money order and telegraph office, Alderton. Acreage, 1134; population, 257. The manor belongs to the Darby family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £180 with residence. The church, which was restored in 1867, is a building of stone in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave, N aisle, and an embattled western tower.
