Description
Iken, a parish in Suffolk, on the river Aide, 3 3/4 miles W from Aldborough station on the G.E.R., and 5 1/2 SE by S from Saxmundham. It has a post office under Tunstall (R.S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Tunstall. Acreage, 2662, of which 30 are waste; population, 316. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £349 with residence. The church is a very ancient building of flint, with a thatched roof, has a tower, and stands on a hill.
