Hemley, a village and a parish in Suffolk, on the river Deben, 4 1/2 miles SSE from Bealings station on the G.E.E., and 6 S from Woodbridge. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Woodbridge. Acreage, 740; population, 94. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; value, £149 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The whole of the church, with the exception of the tower, was rebuilt in 1889.
