Description
Freckenham, a village and a parish in Suffolk, on the river Lark, at the boundary with Cambridgeshire, 3 1/2 miles SW of Mildenhall station on the G.E.B., and 4^ NW of Kennet station on the G.E.R. There is a post office under Soham; money order and telegraph office, Chippenham. Acreage, 2610; population, 341. The living is a vicarage and a rectory in the diocese of Ely; net yearly value, £with residence. Patron, St Peter's College, Cambridge. The church is a building of stone, rubble, and clunch, chiefly in the Gothic style.
