Description
Cratfield, a village and a parish in Suffolk, 7 miles WSW of Halesworth station on the G.E.R., with a post office under Halesworth; money order office, Laxfield; telegraph office, Fressingfield. Acreage, 2127; population, 467. The Iiving is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; value, £98 with residence. The church is a fine old building of flint in the Perpendicular style with square tower, and a good peal of hells, and there is a Congregational chapel. There are charities producing about £120 a year.
