Clopton, a parish in Suffolk, 3 1/4 miles N by W of Beal-ings station on the G.E.R., and 4 NW of Woodbridge. It has a post office under Woodbridge; money order office, Grundisburgh; telegraph office, Little Bealings. Acreage, 2098 ; population, 358. Part of the land is common. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; value, £562 with residence. The church is a building of stone and flint in the Early English style. It was restored in 1883.
