Description
Burstall, a village and a parish in Suffolk, on an affluent of the river Orwell, 2 1/2 miles WSW of Bramford station on the G.E.R., and 4 1/2 W of Ipswich, under which there is a post office; money order and telegraph office, Bramford. Acreage of parish, 768; population, 216. The living is a vicarage, annexed to that of Bramford in the diocese of Norwich; joint gross yearly value, £300, in the gift of the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury. The church is a small edifice of rubble in the Early Decorated style.
