Denston or Denardiston, a parish in Suffolk, on an affluent of the river Stour, 6 miles N from Clare station on the G.E.R. Post town, Newmarket; money order and. telegraph office, Wickhambrook. Acreage, 1200; population, 242. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ely ; net yearly value, <£50. The church is a large building of stone in the Perpendicular style. Denston Hall is a chief residence.
