Description
Bagnall, a township and a chapelry in Bucknall parish, Staffordshire, near the Chumet river and the Uttoxeter Canal, 2 miles S of Endon station on the North Staffordshire railway, and 4 N of Bucknall. An ancient market cross (restored) and a column in the churchyard are witnesses of the antiquity of this place. There are several collieries. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the rectory of Bucknall, in the diocese of Lichfield. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1879.
