Description
Apley, a parish in Lincolnshire, near Langworth river, 2 1/2 miles SW of Wragby station on the G.N.R., and 10 NE from Lincoln. Post town, Wragby, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 1670; population, 167. The manor belonged to the Tyrwhittses and descended to the Drakes, and the old mansion on it is now a farmhouse. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln, annexed to that of Stainfield. There is no church.
