Description
Yarlington, a parish, with a village, in Somerset, 4 miles from Wincanton station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint railway. Acreage, 1204; population, 179. A cattle fair is held annually on 26 Aug. Remains of an ancient camp are on a hill. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; gross value, £250 with residence. The church is Early English, and has been restored.
