Chelwood, a parish in Somerset, 2 miles SE of Pensford station on the G.W.R. It has a post office under Bristol; money order and telegraph office, Pensford. Acreage, 1118; population, 131. The surface is diversified with hill and vale. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; value, £194. Patron, the Bishop of Bath and Wells. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1861.
