Caldecott, Rutland

Caldecott, a parish in Rutland, on the rivers Eye and Welland, adjacent to Rockingham Castle station on the L. & N.W.R. and G.N.R., 4 1/2 miles S of Uppingham, which is the post town; telegraph office, Rockingham. Acreage, 1162; population of the civil parish, 300; of the ecclesiastical, 747. The living is a vicarage annexed to the rectory of Lyddington in the diocese of Peterborough. The church is an Early English building of stone.
