Wendlebury, a parish in Oxfordshire, 2 1/2 miles SW by S of Bicester station on the L. & N.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Bicester. Acreage, 1154; population, 203. The manor belongs to the Duke of Marlborough. Remains of a Roman camp are at Alchester. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; gross value, £146. Patron, Christchurch, Oxford. The church, a cruciform building of stone, consisting of chancel, nave, transepts, and an embattled western tower, was rebuilt with the exception of the tower in 1761.
