Description
Holwell, an ecclesiastical parish formed in 1850, in Brad-well parish, Oxfordshire. It lies near the boundary with Gloucestershire, 2 1/2 iriiles SSW from Burford, and 4 1/2 NNW from Alvescot station on the G.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Burford (R.S.O.) Population, 184. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Oxford; gross yearly value, £110 with residence. The church is modern, and in the Early English style.
