Elsfield, a, parish in Oxfordshire, near the river Cherwell, 2 1/4 miles S by E of Islip station on the L. & N.W.R., and 3 NE from Oxford. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Oxford. Acreage, 1295 ; population, 176. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Oxford; net value, £188 with residence. The church is a small building of stone, chiefly in the Early English style.
