Description
Cuxham, a village and a parish in Oxfordshire, 2 miles WNW of Watlington station on the G.W.R., and 4 miles SW from Tetsworth. There is a post office under Tetsworth; money order and telegraph office, Watlington. Acreage, 492 ; population of the civil parish, 135 ; of the ecclesiastical, 166. The living is a rectory, united in 1853 with Easington, in the diocese of Oxford; joint net yearly value, £150' with residence. Patron, Merton College, Oxford. The church is partly Norman, with a tower, and has some brasses and monuments.
