Description
Styrrup, a township in Blyth and Harworth parishes, Notts, 3 1/2 miles SW by W of Bawtry station on the G.N.R. There is a post office at Oldcotes under Rotherham; money order and telegraph office, Blyth. The township includes Oldcotes. Acreage, 3046; population, 471. Viscount Galway is lord of the manor of Styrrup. There are a Wesleyan chapel at Styrrup, and a Roman Catholic church and Wesleyan chapel at Oldcotes.
