Description
Swarland, a village and a township in Felton parish, Northumberland, 8 miles S by W of Alnwick station on the N.E.R. Post town, Acklington; money order and telegraph office, Felton. Acreage, 2212; population, 132. An obelisk to the memory of Lord Nelson, erected by Sir W. Davison, stands in front of Swarland Hall.
