Thorpe Achurch, a parish in Northamptonshire, on the Northampton and Peterborough section of the L. & N.W.R., on which it has a station, 5 miles S from Oundle. Post town, Oundle; money order and telegraph office, Wadenhoe. Acreage, 1609; population of the civil parish, 189; of the ecclesiastical with Lilford, 365. The manor belongs to Lord Lilford. The living is a rectory, united with Lilford, in the diocese of Peterborough; joint gross value, £300 with residence. Patron, Lord Lilford. The church is a building of stone in the Early English and Decorated styles, consisting of chancel with mortuary chapel, nave, N aisle, S porch, and a western tower with spire. It has some interesting tombs and monuments.
