Harpole, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire. The village stands 5 miles ENE from Weedon station on the L. & N.W.R., and 4 W by N from Northampton, and has a post office under Northampton; money order office, Bug-brook; telegraph office, Duston. The parish comprises 1943 acres; population, 910. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough; gross yearly value, £350 with residence. Patron, Earl Fitzwilliam. The church is partly Norman, partly Early English. There are Baptist andWesleyan chapels, and an endowed school. Harpole Hall is a chief residence.
