Description
Hargrave, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire. The village stands near the boundary with Beds and Hunts, 2 1/2 miles E from Raunds station on the M.R., and 7 1/2 SSE from Thrapston, and has a post office under St Neots; money order office, Rimbolton; telegraph office, Rannds station. The parish comprises 1429 acres; population, 236. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough; gross-yeariy value, £60 with residence. The church is of the 13th century, and consists of nave, chancel, aisles, and north transept, with tower and spire. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
