Description
Faxton, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire, 2 1/2 miles E from Lamport station on the L. & N.W.R., and 4 1/4SSW of Rothwell. Post town, Northampton; money order and telegraph office, Rothwell. Acreage 1851; population, 46. The living is a chapelry, annexed to the rectory of Lamport, in the diocese of Peterborough. The church, which is a small building of stone, contains a fine monument to Sir Augustine Nichols, who died in 1616.
