Description
Cranford St John, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire, 4 miles ESE from Kettering, with a station on the Kettering, Huntingdon, and Cambridge branch of the-M.R., with a post office under Kettering; money order office, Burton Latimer; telegraph office, Cranford railway station. Area, 953 acres; population, 309. The living is a rectory annexed to Cranford St Andrew. The church is a small edifice of stone in the Late Norman style. It was restored in 1887. Ironstone is found here in considerable quantities.
