Cold Ashby, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire, 9 miles SW from Market Harborough, and 4 1/4 SE from Yelvertoft station on the L. & N.W.R., with a post office under Rugby; money order office, Guilsborough; telegraph office, Thornby. Acreage, 2159 ; population, 276. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Peterborough; net yearly value, £160. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style, and has an ancient font and a peal of four bells, one of which is the second earliest dated bell in England.
