Description
Yelverton, a parish in Norfolk, 4 miles from Trowse station on the G.E.R., and 6 SE of Norwich. Post town, Framingham Earl, under Norwich. Acreage, 545; population of the civil parish, 61; of the ecclesiastical, with Alpington, 238. The manor belongs to the Earl of Rosebery. The living is a rectory, united with Alpington, in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £288 with residence, in the gift of the Lord Chancellor. The church is a building of flint in the Decorated style, with a tower, and was restored in 1883.
