Description
Wimbotsham, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, 1 1/2 mile NE of Downham station on the G.E.R. It has a post office under Downham; money order and telegraph office, Downham. Acreage, 1577; population of the civil parish, 573; of the ecclesiastical, with Stow Bardolph, 1682. The living is a rectory, annexed to Stow Bardolph. The church is a building of stone in the Norman style. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels.
