Titchwell, a parish in Norfolk, on the coast, 6 miles E by N of Hunstanton station on the G.E.R. It has a post office under Lynn; money order and telegraph office, Brancaster. Acreage, 1533; population, 106. The manor belongs to Magdalen College, Oxford. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £230 with residence. Patron, Eton College. The church is an ancient building of flint of the 13th, 14th, and 15th century date, with a Norman tower. There is also an ancient stone cross at the head of the church road, marking a station on the Pilgrims' Way to the abbey of Walsingham.
