Description
Sloley, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, adjacent to the Norwich and North Walsham high road, 3 1/4 miles NE by N of Coltishall, and 1 mile S from Worstead station on the Cromer branch of the G.E.R. Post town, Norwich under Coltishall; money order and telegraph office, Worstead. Acreage, 752; population, 270. There is a parish council of five members and a chairman. The manor with Sloley House belongs to the Neville family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £200 with residence. The church is an ancient edifice of flint in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave, aisles, S porch, and a western tower.
