Description
Ringland, a parish in Norfolk, on the river Wensum, 7 miles NW by W of Norwich, and 2 1/4 S of Attlebridge station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint railway. It has a post office under Norwich; money order office, Drayton; telegraph office, Drayton railway station. Acreage, 1246; population, 291. There is a parish council consisting of five members. The manor belongs to Lord Stafford. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £144 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is an ancient building of flint and stone, in the Gothic style of the 15th century, consisting of chancel, nave, N and S aisles, S porch, and a lofty embattled western tower. It was restored in 1887.
