Hunworth, a parish in Norfolk, on the rivulet Glaven, 2" miles SSW from Holt station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint railway, and 9 1/2 NE from Eyburgh. It has a post office under Briningham (S.O.); money order office,. Edgefield Green; telegraph office, Melton Constable. Acreage, 858; population of the civil parish, 222; of the ecclesiastical, with Stody, 361. The manor belongs to the Marchioness of Lothian. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Stody, in the diocese of Norwich; joint net value, £247 with residence, in the gift of the Marchioness of Lothian. The church is Later English, and consists of nave, S transept, and chancel, with porch and tower. There-is a school with £6 from endowment.
